Invisalign in Beverly & Topsfield
Invisalign® treatment with Dr. Diana, Dr. Neil and the team at New England Orthodontic Specialists can give you beautiful, straight teeth without braces.
Treatment Designed for Your Life
Invisalign takes a modern approach to straightening teeth. It uses a custom-made series of aligners created for you and only you. These aligner trays are made of smooth, comfortable and virtually invisible plastic that you wear over your teeth.
Wearing the aligners will gently move your teeth into place little by little, based on the exact movements Dr. Diana or Dr. Neil plans for you.
With Invisalign treatment at New England Orthodontic Specialists, there are no metal brackets to attach and no wires to tighten. You just pop in a new set of aligners about every two weeks until your treatment is complete.
At New England Orthodontic Specialists, you’ll get a great smile without a treatment that gets in the way of your daily life. The best part about the whole process is that most people won’t even know you’re straightening your teeth.
This nearly-invisible option to straighten your teeth is truly changing the way people see orthodontic treatment.
Dr. Diana and Dr. Neil have a lot of experience treating patients with Invisalign aligners. We’re excited to offer this technology to our Beverly and Topsfield braces patients.
How Does Invisalign Work?
Invisalign is a clear, plastic aligner system that’s custom made for your teeth. Dr. Diana or Dr. Neil will take an intraoral scan of your mouth and send this along with your orthodontic prescription to an Invisalign technician to process the scan and fabricate your aligners.
Your doctor designs your Invisalign treatment to ensure you get the smile you desire.
What Are the Benefits of Invisalign?
Invisalign aligners are BPA-free, and they’re BPS, latex, and gluten-free. You can rest assured that the system is safe for you and your family. It has been approved by the food and drug administration (FDA).
This means that if you are interested in Invisalign clear aligners and face any common allergy, you don’t need to worry since they’re almost hypoallergenic. They’re made out of a new plastic material called SmartTrack, created specifically by Invisalign. This plastic is flexible yet sturdy enough to align your teeth and bite.
Invisalign is designed to fit so near to your teeth that they are almost invisible by just looking at you. All tooth movement requires gentle, constant force, so you must wear your Invisalign aligners 22 hours per day to get a successful smile.
One of the greatest benefits of the Invisalign system is that the aligners are removed for meals, so there are no foods to avoid. Another great benefit is that the aligners are removed to brush and floss your teeth, making it easier to keep your teeth and gums spotless and healthy.
Differences Between Invisalign & Braces
Unlike traditional braces, smooth plastic Invisalign aligners don't have metal components that can irritate your mouth.
Because they’re removed when you eat, you won't have to watch what you eat like you would when wearing braces – bring on the popcorn and peanuts.
In fact, the aligners must be removed for eating and for drinking anything other than water. You need to make sure you’re willing to do that before you decide on Invisalign clear braces.
To prevent staining, you’ll need to clean your teeth before putting the aligners back on after each time you eat.
Of course, brushing and flossing are much easier than with traditional braces since you don’t have to work around any brackets and wires.
How Much Does Invisalign Cost?
The cost of Invisalign is similar to the cost of braces but will be different for each person. Dr. Diana and Dr. Neil will assess your specific needs and review all options with you and give you an estimate on treatment length.
If you have dental insurance that included an orthodontic benefit for you or a family member, it can be used towards the cost of orthodontic treatment with the Invisalign system.
New England Orthodontic Specialists offers personalized payment plans to your budget with or without insurance so you can have a perfect smile.
Talk to Us About Invisalign
It’s important to wear your aligners for at least 22 hours each day, as recommended by Dr. Diana and Dr. Neil, so they can do their job and straighten your teeth. But, with Invisalign, you can remove your aligners for special occasions.
Like with traditional braces, you’ll generally need to wear a retainer after Invisalign treatment to maintain your new alignment—and your confident new smile.
Dr. Diana and Dr. Neil may not recommend Invisalign for some more complex alignment or bite issues, or for those who have bridgework; Dr. Diana and Dr. Neil can advise you about what options are best for you.
