Your Salem Orthodontist
Dr. Diana Esshaki grew up in Brookline, MA. She earned her BA from Boston University in Classical Civilization and Biology. Next, she received her Master of Science degree from the University of Massachusetts and her DMD from Tufts University School of Dental Medicine.
For four years, Dr. Diana served on the faculty at Tufts University School of Dental Medicine, where she supervised dental students' training in oral health care management of the medically complex patient population.
She also maintained a private practice as a general dentist in Boston's financial district before pursuing specialty training in orthodontics at Tufts University School of Dental Medicine.
Dr. Diana is a board-certified orthodontist and a proud member of the American Board of Orthodontics.
"Dr. Neil", as he's known to his patients, grew up in Bedford, Massachusetts. He graduated Magna Cum Laude from Boston College with a Bachelor of Science. Dr. Neil Fluckiger then graduated Summa Cum Laude from Tufts University School of Dental Medicine.
Following dental school, he practiced as a general dentist for several years before specializing in orthodontics. Dr. Neil completed his orthodontic residency at Tufts University and has since gone through the rigorous testing process to distinguish himself as a board-certified orthodontist by the American Board of Orthodontists.
Dr. Neil was recently voted Boston Magazine's 2018 Top Dentist, Specialty in Orthodontics. This distinction is an honor as it is only voted on by licensed dentists in the state of Massachusetts.
Invisalign is incredibly popular with both patients and orthodontists and is the top alternative to traditional braces. Instead of brackets and bands, the Invisalign system uses a series of clear, removable aligners to gradually straighten your teeth.
Invisalign aligners are made of a comfortable plastic material and customized to fit snugly over your teeth. In order to keep your teeth moving in the direction you want them to, you'll generally need to switch your invisible trays out every 1-2 weeks for the next in the series. The Invisalign system can only work if the recommended guidelines are followed exactly! Aligners should be worn 20-22 hours per day throughout treatment. If patients neglect to wear the aligners as directed, it can impede the results and also add time to the orthodontic process.
Invisalign is at its most efficient when correcting many of the most common orthodontic issues. For some complex cases, Invisalign may not be a good option. A free consultation with New England Orthodontic Specialists will allow us to determine your Invisalign eligibility.
Traditional braces are one of the most efficient orthodontic tools we have. They're made out of metal or ceramic brackets that are attached to the teeth, then connected by wires and tiny rubber bands or elastics. These brackets, wires, and bands work together to apply the gentle pressure that will gradually move the teeth into the positions we want them to be in if you have regular adjustments with our doctors.
Salem braces are an excellent choice for correcting complex tooth issues. Because they can sometimes work faster at aligning teeth and closing gaps than other treatments might, overall treatment time may be slightly reduced. Braces don't need some of the more complex technology or expensive equipment that newer treatments can, making Beverly braces a cost-effective orthodontic option.
